      Michael's workshop gave everyone in the room something to consider when it comes to biases and stereotypes. Personally, I enjoyed how he discussed the origin of race. I was also one who wasn't completely sure of the difference between race and ethnicity. Learning about the history behind it helped me to better define it and to see how one word can affect so many for so long.

He posed extremely thought provoking questions and narratives that made you confront your own bias, and begin to think differently about how we view and treat others. I enjoyed how he engaged the audience with activities and created an open space where participants felt safe to share their experiences, thoughts, and opinions on what can be an uncomfortable conversation.
